Your good credit is the most important financial asset you have. Good credit opens doors and allows you to fulfill your dreams. Without it, simple things such as buying a car or house, obtaining a credit card and even finding a job are extremely difficult if not impossible.

Our four step process to better credit makes it easy to optimize your credit report and fulfill your financial dreams.

STEP 1: Send Us Your Credit Report

To get the process started you need to mail copies of your credit reports from the three major credit bureaus directly to us. If you have selected the "Top Priority Status" feature please feel free to provide us with copies of your credit reports via Fax so that we may make sure your case is being given "Top Priority" by enjoying same day service. Because the credit bureaus will only send information directly to you and not your law firm, it is very important that you forward your credit report and all other correspondence directly to Centurion. Sending this information to Centurion is one of the most important parts of the process as these are the official documents that will show us how best to handle your case, and will serve as a scoreboard to show you how your credit has improved. Updated reports should be sent to us every three months (see sidebar).

STEP 2: Consult With Your Credit Advocate

Unlike other organizations, we believe that your good credit is so valuable that personal contact is vital to achieving the best results. Upon receiving and analyzing your credit reports, your Credit Advocate will speak with you and discuss your case, what items to dispute and the strategy to be used.

STEP 3: Centurion Law Firm Goes To Battle On Your Behalf

This is the fun part for us, going to battle with the credit bureaus! Based on our experience and your particular case we will take your dispute directly to the credit bureau and make sure that your rights are enforced and that they follow the law. Depending on your specific case and the number of negative items on your report we will continue to engage the bureaus until you are completely satisfied.

STEP 4: Wait and . . . Celebrate

The law requires the credit bureaus to investigate your claim within 30 days. Upon the completion of this investigation, the bureau must send you their results and an updated copy of your credit report. Generally it takes about 60 days from the date we dispute an item to when you receive the bureaus response. When you do receive the response, and after you celebrate the progress that was made, we ask that you make a copy for yourself and send the original to us. Based on these updates, the process begins again, until you are completely satisfied with your new accurate good credit report.

Because the credit report is the “official” document that we are working to make correct, it is vitally important that we know what this “official” document actually says. As progress is made on your case, the results can be seen in your reports. Without seeing these reports we are limited in our ability to serve you. As a client you must be diligent in sending us the updated credit reports as they are received from the credit bureaus and at the very least, we must receive an updated credit report every three months.
